Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Management to join our team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.
About the Role: The Deputy Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Management will be responsible for leading the procurement and supply chain management function across the Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care System (ICS). This will involve managing a team of sourcing professionals and ensuring that procurement activities are aligned with public sector policy, NHS legal framework, and internal operating budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of sourcing professionals to deliver procurement opportunities for EU compliant added value procurement, contracting, and improved cost-effective supply arrangements.
- Operate within public sector policy, NHS legal framework, and internal operating budget to achieve objectives year on year.
- Manage a portfolio of projects associated with each trust's non-pay cost improvement plan and collaboration agenda.
- Deliver efficiency savings through a pre-agreed annual work plan, working with Divisional/Directorate leads and Financial Services.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with experience of leading teams and managing complex procurement projects. They will also have excellent commercial acumen and expertise in a diverse range of product and service categories.
