Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Management to join our team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Procurement in the management of a team of experienced procurement professionals.
  • Ensure the team operates within public sector policy, the NHS legal framework, and internal operating budget to achieve objectives year on year.
  • Operate a hub and spoke model with other NHS trusts as the host organisation.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage a portfolio of projects associated with each trust's non-pay cost improvement plan and collaboration agenda.
  • Deliver efficiency savings through a pre-agreed annual work plan, working with Divisional/Directorate leads and Financial Services.
  • Produce the most advantageous commercial arrangements for each constituent organisation within the NHS framework.
Requirements
  • High level commercial acumen and expertise in a diverse range of product and service categories.
  • Experience of managing complex/high spend procurement projects.
  • Ability to work with clinical divisions/directorates and corporate departments to deliver opportunities for added value procurement, contracting, and improved cost-effective supply arrangements.
