Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper & Payroller to join our team at Kent Recruitment Bureau. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bookkeeping, payroll, and financial services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for our clients, including cloud-based bookkeeping and trial balance preparation.
- VAT Returns: You will prepare and submit VAT returns for standard and flat-rate clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Management Accounts: You will prepare and present monthly or quarterly management accounts and reports for clients, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
- Payroll: You will be responsible for collating, entering, and completing client payrolls, including deductions and allowances, and year-end reporting.
Requirements:
- Experience: You will have previous experience working in an accountancy practice, with a strong understanding of accounting software and practices.
- Qualifications: You will have made progress with the AAT/ICB qualification and have a working knowledge of Sage, Xero, or other client accounting packages.
- Communication: You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Flexibility: You will be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
