Position Overview

DMJ Recruitment is currently in search of a detail-oriented and professional Corporate Governance Assistant or Assistant Company Secretary to become a vital member of their proactive team. This opportunity not only allows for career development but also offers a chance to engage deeply in the governance of a prominent corporate entity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Corporate Governance team with the Annual General Meeting, which includes the preparation of necessary documentation and coordination of meeting arrangements;
  • Contributing to the drafting and production of the Annual Report, while continuously seeking improvements and supporting the team in advancing the Corporate Governance function and objectives;
  • Preparing board and committee papers, while taking responsibility for the Sustainability Committee;
  • Facilitating the administration of share plans and dividend distributions;
  • Providing administrative assistance for corporate transactions;
  • Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to manage secretarial matters effectively.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience in a company secretarial capacity within a listed company environment or from a professional services background with exposure to listed clients is highly preferred.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Companies Act and best practices in corporate governance.
  • Possession of an ICSA qualification would be a significant advantage.
