Job Title: Corporate Governance Lawyer

We are seeking a talented Corporate Governance Lawyer to join our team at Clifford Chance. As a key member of our Corporate practice, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on legal and regulatory compliance, market disclosure, and corporate governance matters.

About the Role

As a Corporate Governance Lawyer, you will work closely with our Corporate Governance Director and partners to develop our listed company and corporate governance advisory practice. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice to clients on corporate governance, shareholder activism, disclosure obligations, and listed company regulatory obligations
  • Assisting with board training and induction, as well as client outreach and engagement through thought leadership
  • Collaborating with our Corporate Knowledge and Information Team, Business Development Team, and global KETL group to deliver high-quality client service
  • Supporting the production of bespoke legal and regulatory developments briefings/updates for key clients
  • Assisting with quarterly board papers and presentation materials for board training sessions and NED onboarding training sessions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A solid background as a junior lawyer, ideally with experience advising listed public companies on legal and regulatory compliance, market disclosure, and corporate governance matters
  • Excellent technical legal skills, outstanding academic history, and strong communication and analytical skills
  • A high level of commercial awareness and the ability to demonstrate excellent document drafting skills
