Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Head of People to lead our People function and drive employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance our employer brand, learning and development programs, and talent management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Employer Branding: Develop and implement a comprehensive employer branding strategy to position Big Penny as an employer of choice in the industry.
- Learning and Development: Design, implement, and manage a learning and development program that enhances employee skills, performance, and career growth.
- Talent Management: Oversee the talent attraction, acquisition, and onboarding processes to ensure the successful recruitment of strong cultural contributors.
- Employee Engagement and Relations: Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction, including regular feedback and coaching.
- HR Operations: Oversee the administration of benefits and compensation packages, as well as HR software and systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior People role within a multisite business in hospitality or retail.
- Proficiency in HR software and experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience in talent management, recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations.
- Empathetic and approachable, with high emotional intelligence.
- Education in Human Resources or a related field, HR certification preferred but not mandatory.
About You
You may have worked as a Head of HR, VP HR, HR Manager, Head of People, Senior People Manager, or similar. You will have a proven track record in service-based learning and development program rollouts, underpinned with strong experience in building and supporting fast-paced multi-site hospitality/service businesses from a people and culture perspective.
