Senior Tenancy Management Specialist

Contract Type: 12 months with CRA GROUP LIMITED
Position Overview:
As a Senior Tenancy Management Specialist, you will take the initiative on behalf of the organization in legal matters concerning tenancy enforcement across all facets of Housing Management, particularly focusing on General Needs and Independent Living tenancies.
Your role will involve supervising and guiding the Housing Management Team to determine the appropriate actions to sustain tenancies effectively.
You will conduct comprehensive reviews and assess individual tenancies, analyzing tenant actions to provide informed recommendations to case officers regarding subsequent steps.
Additionally, you will support Housing Officers and Housing Coordinators by offering informal assistance when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate the execution of all housing management functions of the organization to align with housing objectives and priorities.
- Collaborate as part of a multifunctional housing team to deliver a seamless, high-quality, and customer-focused service.
- Foster a positive working environment and ensure that customer care standards are upheld in accordance with the organization's mission and values.
- Contribute to the provision of a comprehensive Housing Service in line with organizational policies and procedures.
- Deliver estate management services consistent with the Housing Strategy.
- Operate independently under the general guidance of the Housing Services Team Leader.
Sample Duties:
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings related to housing management.
- Conduct final assessments on tenancies at risk of eviction and determine the necessary next steps to sustain the tenancy.
- Supervise Housing Officers in providing a housing management service for all tenants in general needs housing and Independent Living schemes.
- Offer advice, assistance, and information to tenants and the public through various communication methods, emphasizing exceptional customer care.
- Collaborate with housing teams and other officers to ensure adequate support in delivering housing services and addressing any complaints or issues.
- Work with internal departments and external organizations to sustain tenancies through a collaborative, multi-agency approach.
- Manage and investigate high-risk complaints of antisocial behavior and neighbor disputes, taking appropriate action in conjunction with relevant agencies.
- Promote tenant engagement by establishing productive relationships and advocating for equal opportunities within the service.
- Organize case conferences with all relevant agencies to achieve positive outcomes for tenants in maintaining their tenancies.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and prepare reports on statistical data to monitor service effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in supervising staff within a housing context.
- Experience in public engagement, both face-to-face and via telephone, with a diverse customer base.
