Job Summary

Care Managers is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to fill the role of Lead Tenancy Officer. This position is responsible for managing tenancy enforcement and supporting housing management functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Legal Proceedings: Oversee and manage legal proceedings related to tenancy enforcement, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Supervise Housing Management Team: Provide guidance and supervision to the Housing Management Team to ensure the effective management of tenancies.
  • Conduct Final Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of tenancies at risk of eviction, recommending next steps to ensure compliance with housing policies.
  • Assist Housing Officers: Provide operational support to Housing Officers and Coordinators, ensuring the smooth delivery of housing management services.
  • Represent the Council: Represent Care Managers in court processes related to housing management, ensuring the organization's interests are represented.
  • Deliver Estate Management Services: Oversee the delivery of estate management services aligned with the Housing Strategy, ensuring the effective management of housing stock.
  • Manage High-Risk Complaints: Manage high-risk complaints of antisocial behavior and neighbor disputes, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Promote Tenant Participation: Promote tenant participation and work with residents to develop community agreements, enhancing the overall quality of life for tenants.
  • Monitor Housing Management Systems: Monitor housing management systems and prepare reports for improvements, ensuring the effective use of resources.
  • Supervise Housing Officers and Coordinators: Provide daily supervision to Housing Officers and Coordinators, ensuring the effective delivery of housing management services.
  • Operational Support: Provide operational support for Independent Living Coordinators, ensuring the smooth delivery of services.
  • Raise Requisition Orders: Raise requisition orders and ensure authorized expenditures, ensuring the effective management of resources.
Requirements
  • Key Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a customer-focused environment, proven experience in housing management and tenancy enforcement, strong supervisory and leadership skills, excellent communication and customer care abilities, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal departments and external organizations.
  • DBS: Basic DBS required.
