The Facilities Team at the University of Oxford is seeking a dedicated Lead Facilities Operations Coordinator to ensure our campus services function seamlessly and effectively.

About the Role:
In the capacity of Lead Facilities Operations Coordinator, you will report directly to the Facilities Manager. Your role will involve overseeing daily operations, managing a team of Facilities Operations Assistants, and ensuring the maintenance and safety of our university facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and oversee the daily activities of Facilities Operations Assistants.
  • Supervise contract cleaning personnel and coordinate with service providers.
  • Support the Facilities Management team during the Facilities Manager's absence.
  • Monitor and adjust staff duty schedules.
  • Oversee the setup of lecture facilities and preparations for conferences.
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate office furniture relocations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations (HASAW Act 1974, COSHH, Manual Handling).
  • Address minor repairs and report issues through the University Help Desk.
  • Conduct maintenance on AV equipment and perform basic electrical tasks.
  • Maintain security of premises, act as a Fire Marshal, and fulfill reception duties.
