Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Home Deputy Manager to join our team in Gosforth. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one care to children between the ages of 5 and 11 who have experienced early trauma.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home.
  • Support and participate in the children's daily routines, including therapy, education, and family time.
  • Work closely with a team and manager to ensure the children's needs are met, with a focus on safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Supervise staff and develop their skills to ensure we meet all areas of our statement of purpose.
  • Have a deep understanding of the Quality Standards set out in the Children's Homes Regulations and the outcomes that children must be supported to achieve while living in children's homes.

Requirements

  • Caring and compassionate approach.
  • Ability to drive.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
  • Good communication, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior position.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
