About the Job Role of Deputy Manager

The Deputy Manager will work alongside the Registered Manager to support the overall management of the service, ensuring the highest quality of care is provided for our Service Users through person-centred care plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager in the overall management of the service.
  • Ensure all staff are encouraged and supported to achieve and exceed their full potential.
  • Ensure all staff under supervision have the right leadership, effective and efficient organisation, support, training and preparation to carry out their work effectively.
  • Ensure all staff under supervision demonstrate the company's values, aims and objectives on a daily basis.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate appropriate nursing interventions for Service Users.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of care and service provision.
  • Actively participate in clinical team meetings and other multi-disciplinary team meetings.
  • Ensure a high standard of nursing in the application of clinical nursing procedures and treatment, in accordance with clinical governance and clinical effectiveness.

Requirements of the Job Role

  • Registered Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RGN/RMN)
  • Clear NMC PIN without restriction
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK (British Passport or Biometric Card)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within mental health environment desirable
  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Demonstrable values and a commitment to leading and supporting a diverse team of staff
  • Knowledge of health and safety matters in relation to hospital care services and risk management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain a safe, harmonious environment for staff and residents
  • Experience in building positive working relationships with patients, their families, staff and other health and social care professionals
