Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Midwife to join our Lotus Team for Vulnerable Patients. As a key member of our community team, you will provide exceptional care to patients who are socially vulnerable, including those with mental illness, substance misuse, teenage pregnancies, refugees, and asylum seekers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide continuity of care for patients, ensuring their individual needs are met with an appropriate plan of action.
  • Work autonomously, managing a caseload and referring patients for appropriate interventions and safeguarding.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, such as the Perinatal Mental Health team, Change Grow Live, and Family Nurse Partnership, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Conduct antenatal and postnatal care in clinics and patients' homes across Coventry and Rugby.
  • Set agreed standards of midwifery care, monitor them, and take action to improve where necessary.
  • Promote an evidence-based, sensitive woman-centered approach to care, in collaboration with carers and relevant healthcare professionals.
