Front of House Operations Supervisor - Great Yarmouth, Norfolk

Job Type: Full Time & Part Time

Reports To: General Store Manager

Position Overview

As the Front of House Operations Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in leading your team to deliver exceptional service and maintain a pristine environment. Your leadership will be essential in driving sales and ensuring guest satisfaction, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

Key Responsibilities

Ensures Operational Excellence:

Manages the Front of House area to uphold the standards of a German Doner Kebab establishment Guarantees that guest service aligns with company expectations and fosters high customer satisfaction Addresses guest complaints promptly and implements effective solutions Enforces quality control to ensure only the best products are served Organizes Front of House duties and supervises staff to ensure satisfaction for both team members and guests Trains and mentors team members through structured training programs to enhance guest service Evaluates team performance and provides constructive feedback to maintain motivation and productivity Oversees stock inventory for the Front of House and analyzes usage patterns Monitors compliance with health and safety regulations Actively promotes the GDK brand within the community Cultivates a positive work environment and leads by example Observes Front of House operations and initiates necessary improvements Assumes duty manager responsibilities on a rotational basis Conducts pre- and post-shift meetings with the Front of House team to set targets and share updates Takes charge of the business performance of the Front of House Ensures adherence to GDK operational guidelines Investigates and resolves the root causes of guest complaints related to the Front of House Ensures all Front of House staff comply with uniform standards Welcomes guests and manages table reservations Organizes and oversees the shifts of dining and counter staff Maintains high standards of quality control, hygiene, and safety Prepares cash drawers and manages petty cash as necessary Assists in various Front of House roles as needed Encourages teamwork and a positive attitude within the workplace Completes daily reports at the end of each shift Participates in training sessions and meetings as required Performs additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager Collaborates with the General Store Manager to coordinate Front of House operations Ensures stock storage areas are kept organized and clean Works with the Store Team to achieve tight stock control and budget goals Completes daily paperwork accurately Engages with customers to model exceptional guest care Upholds high standards of guest service Supports team members during peak times and undertakes necessary operational duties Ensures the Front of House team is well-groomed and ready for service Adheres to all legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business Maintains a good understanding of equipment and performs preventative maintenance

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Front of House Operations Supervisor position should possess excellent communication skills and a passion for teamwork. The following qualifications are essential:

Proven experience as a Supervisor or Duty Manager in the Food Industry Demonstrated expertise in guest service management Strong knowledge of guest care principles Proficiency in English Familiarity with POS systems and computer literacy Strong leadership and motivational skills Financial management abilities
