Front of House Operations Supervisor - Great Yarmouth, Norfolk

Job Type: Full Time & Part Time

Reports To: General Store Manager

Position Overview

As the Front of House Operations Supervisor, you will be the leader of your designated area. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the delivery of exceptional service standards, maintain cleanliness, and uphold the overall condition of the Front of House. You will play a crucial role in driving the store's sales and profitability by adhering to upselling techniques and providing outstanding guest care. It is essential to foster a motivated team and create a positive work atmosphere that encourages guests to return to our establishment.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring Operational Excellence:

Oversee and manage the Front of House operations at a German Doner Kebab establishment. Guarantee that guest service aligns with company standards and consistently achieves high customer satisfaction. Address guest complaints promptly and take appropriate measures to resolve issues. Ensure the highest quality of food and beverages is served. Organize the Front of House area and supervise team responsibilities to ensure satisfaction for both team members and guests. Train and guide team members through well-structured training programs to enhance guest service. Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback to maintain motivation and productivity. Manage stock inventory for the Front of House and analyze consumption patterns. Monitor compliance with food safety and health regulations. Actively promote and enhance the GDK brand. Cultivate a positive work environment and lead by example. Supervise Front of House operations and implement corrective actions as necessary. Conduct pre- and post-shift meetings with the Front of House team to communicate objectives, share feedback, and relay business updates. Take responsibility for the business performance of the Front of House. Ensure adherence to GDK guidelines in Front of House operations. Identify and address the root causes of guest complaints related to the Front of House. Ensure all Front of House staff comply with company uniform standards. Welcome guests and manage table reservations. Organize and oversee the shifts of dining and counter staff. Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety. Prepare cash drawers and manage petty cash as needed. Assist in any Front of House role as circumstances require. Encourage teamwork, cooperation, and a positive attitude within the work environment. Complete all necessary daily reports at the end of each shift. Attend training sessions or meetings as required by the company or franchisee. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager based on business needs. Collaborate with the General Store Manager to coordinate all aspects of Front of House operations. Ensure stock storage areas and the Front of House are kept clean and organized at all times. Work with the General Store Manager and the team to achieve effective stock control and budgeted margins. Complete daily paperwork as required. Greet all customers where possible and exemplify exceptional guest care. Lead and maintain high standards of guest service. Support team members during peak times and undertake any operational duties necessary to meet guest expectations. Ensure the Front of House team is well-groomed and prepared for work. Promote and adhere to all legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business. Maintain a good understanding of all equipment and ensure preventative maintenance is performed efficiently.

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate for the Front of House Operations Supervisor position should possess excellent communication skills and a strong enthusiasm for teamwork. The following attributes and skills are highly desirable:

Proven experience as a Supervisor or Duty Manager in the food industry. Demonstrated expertise in guest service management. Extensive knowledge of guest care practices. Proficiency in English. Familiarity with computer systems and POS technology. Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills. Financial management capabilities.
