Join Our Team as a Production Planning Specialist

Weatherford is seeking a skilled Production Planning Specialist to enhance our operations. This role is pivotal in developing production timelines and ensuring that all processes align with completion targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety, Security & Compliance
  • Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring all activities are conducted ethically and in accordance with the Company's Security, Compliance & HSE policies, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prioritize Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and Environmental protection, ensuring that no actions jeopardize employees, processes, customers, or communities.
  • Continuously seek improvements in Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental protection, utilizing knowledge, technology, and best practices to exceed customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate effective safety leadership for all team members and visitors on Company premises.
Quality Assurance
  • Familiarize yourself with the Company's Quality policies and actively contribute to the compliance and enhancement of Weatherford's Management System.
  • Maintain service quality as a primary focus while identifying areas for improvement across all business sectors.
Operational Duties
  • Manage new orders in accordance with established procedures.
  • Adjust pick and ship dates based on production meetings.
  • Initiate work orders and liaise with production, workshop, buyers, and machine shops to ensure all necessary tasks are completed.
  • Identify critical orders and follow up with buyers and planners daily.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding key purchase order items.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the planning supervisor or manufacturing manager.
Effective Communication
  • Maintain strong communication with all key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, roles, and responsibilities to team members.
Financial Accountability
  • All employees are responsible for financial stewardship, whether managing a function budget or their own expenses.
  • Ensure costs are within approved budgets and processed in a timely manner, adhering to relevant financial policies and procedures.
People Development
  • Take responsibility for your career development within the Company, completing necessary training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Engage regularly with your line manager to discuss performance, objectives, and opportunities for skill enhancement.
  • Supervisors should actively support talent management through performance assessments and coaching opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources & Training Development to implement strategies for recruitment and retention of top talent.
Vision & Leadership
  • Exhibit leadership, ethical behavior, and adherence to Weatherford standards consistently.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in planning or scheduling within an MRP-driven manufacturing environment.
  • A college degree in a business or technical field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP).
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to interface and collaborate effectively with all departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
