Job Title: Group Reporting Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Reporting Analyst to join our team at Thorpe Molloy McCulloch Recruitment Ltd. As a Group Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis support to our clients in the E&P industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review annual legal entity financial statements, including consolidated financial statements prepared under IFRS.
  • Reporting Support: Collaborate with the UK Tax Team, supplying accurate information as required for tax provisioning, tax returns, and for tax planning purposes.
  • Monthly Reporting: Prepare monthly income statement and balance sheet over the month-end close period, with the aim to ensure required elements are booked as required and understood.
  • Variance Analysis: Collate variance analysis on key metrics of production, opex, capex, abex, revenue, free cash flow, and working capital on a monthly basis for management reporting.
  • Financial Reporting Package: Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reporting package for group financial reporting and supporting analysis through the tools and schedules provided by the shareholder.
  • External Audits: Liaise with External Auditors throughout the group and statutory audits.
  • ARO Accretion Adjustments: Support in the preparation of monthly ARO accretion adjustments and annual ARO liability updates.
  • Revenue Accounting: Prepare the monthly revenue accounting in coordination with the Marketing and Production Teams, including sales, revenue accruals, and overlift and underlift.
  • Fixed Assets Register: Prepare and maintain fixed assets register including, additions, depreciation, impairment postings.
  • Intercompany Balances: Support monthly closing of intercompany balances.
  • Accounts Aging: Prepare accounts aging.
  • Month-End/Year-End Adjustments: Assist with month-end/year-end adjustments.
  • Financial Information: Support in preparing financial information for Board meetings.

Requirements:

  • Professional Accounting Qualification: Professional accounting qualification.
  • Financial Reporting Experience: Experience in financial reporting and accounting roles, with an understanding of statutory reporting requirements and consolidation processes.
  • Accounting Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
