Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to assist a vibrant 39-year-old woman living with cerebral palsy. This role involves providing essential support for daily activities and personal care, ensuring the client can engage in community activities and follow therapy programs as directed by healthcare professionals.

About the Client:

The client is a lively individual who communicates effectively using an electronic speech aid. She requires 1-1 support throughout the day and night in her own home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care and transfers.
  • Facilitate access to community events and therapy sessions.
  • Work collaboratively within a client-centered care team.

Compensation:

£14.00 per hour on weekdays, £15.50 per hour on weekends, with additional pay for sleep shifts.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

  • NVQ or equivalent qualification in care.
  • Experience in supporting individuals with physical or learning disabilities.
  • Strong interest in rehabilitation and empowering clients.
  • Female candidates only, in compliance with occupational requirements.
  • Full UK driving license and confidence in driving the client's vehicle.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, families, and professionals.
  • DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable:

  • Experience in staff management and rota organization.
  • Current training in relevant health and safety areas.

Working Hours:

Flexible hours available, ideally shared between two workers. Specific shifts include:

  • Monday to Friday: 7:45 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Alternate Saturdays: 12:45 PM – 8:15 PM
  • Sunday: 7:45 AM – 1:00 PM and 12:45 PM – 8:15 PM
