About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care to a 39-year-old lady with cerebral palsy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the client with all transfers and personal care needs
  • Support the client to access community activities and complete therapy programmes under the direction of therapists
  • Communicate effectively with the client, her family, and other professionals involved in her care
  • Manage the client's care hours, including overnight shifts and weekends
Requirements
  • NVQ (or equivalent) in care and recent training would be an advantage
  • Experience of caring for people with physical and/or learning disabilities
  • Positive interest in active rehabilitation and a desire to enable the client to reach her full potential
  • Female (due to the occupational nature of the role)
  • Full UK driving licence and confidence to drive the client's car
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with the client and her family
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience of managing others and knowledge of organising staff rotas
  • Current training in areas such as equality, diversity, and inclusion, health and safety, and safeguarding vulnerable adults and children
Working Hours

Hours are currently available, with a preference for splitting them between two people. The schedule includes:

  • Monday: 7:45am - 1:00pm
  • Monday - Friday: 7:45am - 1:00pm
  • Alternate Saturday: 12:45pm - 8:15pm
  • Alternate Saturday night
  • Sunday: 7:45am - 1:00pm
  • Sundays: 12:45pm - 8:15pm
