About the Role
Carrington West is seeking a highly experienced Senior Highway Engineer to join our Highways team as an integral member. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading highway and infrastructure schemes from feasibility through to implementation.
- Design responsibility for Highways and Infrastructure projects, providing expertise and direction to the project team on highway design and construction.
- Utilize local staff, contractor staff, and sub-consultants to manage design and disciplines for projects.
- Collate project information and liaise with clients and client teams as required.
- Supervise site-based projects as required, providing technical input into major and minor highway and infrastructure schemes.
- Comply with all Company Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Execute site-based or head office functions, liaising with clients and other contractor's staff to collect project-specific information as required by the Project Manager.
- Check and approve own and other staff work, including third-party design proposals, as identified in the Project Quality Plan on assigned projects.
- Carry out other duties identified in the Project Management Plan or as required by the Project Manager on assigned projects.
- Assist in monitoring, planning, and forecasting utilization of own discipline team members.
