Highway Design Manager

As a Senior Highways Engineer, you will play a key part in shaping the future of our transportation infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Highways team and contribute to the design and implementation of highway and infrastructure schemes.
Key Responsibilities- Design Leadership: Provide design responsibility for Highways and Infrastructure projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Team Management: Utilize local staff, contractor staff, and sub-consultants to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.
- Project Management: Manage design and disciplines for projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Client Liaison: Collate project information and liaise with clients and client teams as required.
- Site Supervision: Supervise site-based projects as required, ensuring that they are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Technical Input: Provide technical input into major and minor highway and infrastructure schemes.
- Project Execution: Execute site-based or head office functions, liaising with clients and other contractor staff to collect project-specific information as required.
- Quality Assurance: Check and approve own and other staff work, including third-party design proposals, as identified in the Project Quality Plan.
- Additional Responsibilities: Carry out other duties identified in the Project Management Plan or as required by the Project Manager.
- Team Development: Assist in monitoring, planning, and forecasting the utilization of own discipline team members.
