Highway Design Manager

As a Senior Highways Engineer, you will play a crucial part in the Highways team, working on highway and infrastructure schemes from feasibility to implementation. You will provide expertise and direction to the project team on highway design and construction, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design Leadership: Take responsibility for designing highways and infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
- Team Management: Utilize local staff, contractor staff, and sub-consultants to manage design and disciplines for projects, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Project Coordination: Collate project information, liaise with clients and client teams, and supervise site-based projects as required.
- Technical Input: Provide technical input into major and minor highway and infrastructure schemes, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Check and approve own and other staff work, including third-party design proposals, as identified in the Project Quality Plan.
- Project Planning: Assist in monitoring, planning, and forecasting the utilization of own discipline team members, ensuring effective project delivery.
