Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a seasoned Physiotherapist to spearhead the outpatient and community-based wellness services within our Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service.

We seek a proactive and creative Neurological Physiotherapist with a solid track record in leadership and rehabilitation clinical expertise to oversee complex case management. The individual in this role will be tasked with managing a team of Physiotherapists and support personnel. The primary focus will be on outpatient and community settings, aiding individuals living with Neurological conditions by integrating physical health and wellness strategies that align with the Cardiff and Vale Rehabilitation Model and the overarching strategy for enhancing community health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be an innovative Neurological Physiotherapist with substantial post-registration experience and competencies. Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the operational delivery of a high-quality Physiotherapy service that encompasses Neurological outpatient and community group interventions.
  • Demonstrating prior senior clinical and leadership experience.
  • Providing expert clinical guidance, support, and mentorship to the physiotherapy team.
  • Exhibiting exceptional organizational, communication, and influencing abilities.
  • Collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Working closely with key leaders and managers to identify areas for service enhancement and implementing transformative changes.
  • Acting as a specialist resource for Physiotherapists and other multidisciplinary team members in this specialized area.
  • Championing and advocating for patients' rights by promoting shared decision-making, respecting individual choices and beliefs, and ensuring privacy and dignity at all times.

Proficiency in Welsh is preferred for this position; applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Recognized qualification degree or equivalent in physiotherapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Evidence of M level learning or relevant higher-level qualification and experience.

Desirable:

  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of relevant post-graduate courses or professional development.

  • Competence in maintaining accurate patient records and statistical data.
  • Involvement in audit and research activities.
  • Proficient IMT skills.
