We are seeking a Duty Officer to join our welcoming and professional team. In collaboration with the Duty Managers and General Manager, you will ensure optimal performance and maintain the highest standards of service while leading a team of Lifeguards at our busy leisure pool.
As a Duty Officer, you will oversee the daily operations of the leisure centre, ensuring excellence in service delivery. You will have the opportunity to develop the skills necessary for a full-time Duty Manager position. We are looking for individuals with outstanding communication abilities, ideally with experience in a leisure setting, but more importantly, those who possess passion, resilience, and the capacity to remain composed under pressure while interacting with diverse clientele. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for both our employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold a valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
- Effectively manage, develop, and motivate a team of operational staff.
- Ensure the daily management and operation of the leisure centre meets the highest standards.
- Contribute to and understand the financial and operational performance of the centre.
- Actively participate as a member of the leisure centre team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the industry through ongoing professional development.
- Utilize problem-solving skills, customer service expertise, and staff management experience.
- Exhibit flexibility and confidence in decision-making.
- Respond effectively to varying demands and challenges.
