Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a regional plan to inspire and develop the regional team, through effective leadership, recruitment, coaching, and training.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-calibre individuals across the region, building capability and skill, through effective development plans and coaching.
  • Identify and act quickly and decisively to address performance issues within the region, implementing company processes to secure improved performance.
  • Deliver the operating standards of a group of stores to ensure compliance to company standards, providing a safe, secure, and professional environment for customers and colleagues.
  • Empower colleagues through celebrating success and ensuring colleagues have a voice and are able to bring their full, unique selves to work.
  • Develop a culture of excellent customer service delivery across the region.
  • Review the regional people plan each quarter to develop the capability of each store team to meet the challenges of each individual store and to achieve the performance targets agreed.
  • Ensure all colleagues have regular progress and performance discussions with their line manager, establishing action plans to develop skills and behaviours in order to improve and measure progress.
  • Work with the recruitment and L&D team to lead the recruitment of Store Managers, ensuring new recruits are welcomed and supported with a robust induction plan.
  • Support and coach store managers to recruit store colleagues.
  • Conduct monthly manager meetings to review the activities of the month, set the priorities of the region for the following month, and present the key successes and recognise performance of the best performing managers each month.
  • Monitor the development of sales skills and coaching in the region using the call recording system.
  • Ensure stores are completing bi-weekly competitor checks to highlight any significant changes.
  • Work with the pricing team to optimise pricing and promotions for each store in the region.
  • Develop a culture of simplicity in order to achieve efficiency.
  • Review store audits thoroughly and agrees action plans with the Store Manager to ensure continued improvement.
  • React quickly to resolve any compliance issues raised, putting in place the appropriate sanctions to deal with underperformers or misconduct.
