Chase and Holland Recruitment Ltd is seeking a seasoned Commercial Director to spearhead commercial activity and drive business growth for a thriving engineering business based in Chesterfield. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to promote and expand the company's commercial activity. Your expertise in designing and implementing commercial strategies, managing market analysis, and leading contract negotiations will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and increasing commercial viability. With a proven track record of managing large-scale contracts and leading diverse teams, you will be well-equipped to take on this critical role and contribute to the company's sustainable growth. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing commercial strategies to meet overall business objectives
• Proactively seeking out new business opportunities and managing market analysis
• Leading contract negotiations with clients and ensuring commercial viability
• Managing revenue strategies to increase revenue streams for existing and new clients
• Forecasting, budgeting, and cost management of commercial activities
• Designing and developing effective measures to optimize revenue streams
• Building and maintaining robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Leading and mentoring the commercial team
• Identifying and reducing commercial risks

Requirements and skills include:

• Proven experience as a commercial director or other relevant role
• Proven track record of managing large-scale contracts with framework experience
• Strong stakeholder management experience and relationship management experience
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• P&L management working closely with the Finance Director
• Experience leading a diverse team
• Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic and analytical mindset
