About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide timely support and assistance to clients who are struggling with their mental health and experiencing emotional distress.
  • To conduct brief assessments to understand the client's current mental health status, risks, and determine appropriate interventions.
  • To offer emotional support, psychoeducation, and collaborative problem-solving to clients.
  • To connect clients with additional resources, services, or support groups for ongoing care and assistance.
  • To participate in medication management and delivery of group interventions.
  • To maintain up-to-date written and electronic records of all interventions and to record information and write reports as necessary.
  • To take a lead in team meetings, participate in clinical meetings, and lead where necessary handover of care to all staff involved in care.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualification at Diploma or Degree level in mental health nursing, social work, or occupational therapy.
  • Demonstrable post-basic experience in Mental Health.
  • Sound knowledge base.
  • Excellent knowledge of MHA 2007, the MHA Bill, and MCA.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan own workload to meet deadlines and competing demands.
