Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our District Nursing Team as a Team Sister. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment, developing high-level skills in patient assessment and care, and contributing to leadership within the team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Clinical Team Leader in the coordination and delivery of care in line with District Nursing Strategy nationally and locally.
  • Assess new and complex patients, delivering comprehensive Senior Nurse Reviews in their own homes and other community care settings.
  • Work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, supporting students and new staff in learning and development.
  • Develop the team through leadership and role modeling, managing staffing rotas and allocating clinical work.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with all clinical staff, patients, and families.
  • Work in the District Nursing Hub to provide weekend, evening, and bank holiday cover on a rotational basis.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (Adult branch) with substantial district nursing experience (12 months minimum).
  • Community Specialist Practitioner Qualification or willingness to work towards this.
  • Ability to develop effective working relations with other agencies and professionals, manage own and others' workload, and delegate effectively.
