About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our care and nursing teams at Exemplar Health Care. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for driving quality and maintaining high standards of care on your unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead your units care and nursing teams to ensure we meet the medical, physical and emotional needs of the people we support.
  • Provide strong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and manage all your units clinical elements and risks.
  • Ensure care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed in a timely manner and reflect care interventions appropriately.
  • Act as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, with responsibility for the oversight, review and update of their care profiles.
  • Supervise and manage the ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal of medication.
About You

We are looking for a natural role model with the ability to manage your units team of Registered Nurses, Nurse Associates and Health Care Assistants. You will have a thorough understanding of best practice in nursing care and an excellent range of clinical and communication skills that you can demonstrate.

Requirements:

  • You will have a strong leadership style and be able to motivate and inspire your team.
  • You will have a good understanding of clinical governance and be able to maintain high standards of care.
  • You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You will be able to work confidently on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • You will have a good standard of digital skills.
