Bretton Park Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Administration Team as a Care Coordinator/Medical Receptionist. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage administrative tasks, and coordinate patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors.
- Receive, assist, and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.
- Attend to patients at the reception desk, deal with enquiries, and respond to patient queries in a friendly manner.
- Process digital platform submissions, keep the reception area tidy, and maintain notice boards.
- Work knowledgeably with the telephone system and all IT systems, process appointment requests, and deal with visit requests.
- Register new patients, update computer data, and process repeat prescription requests in accordance with practice guidelines.
- Coordinate patient care, liaise with care/nursing homes, and other health and care providers as necessary.
- Support the Leadership Team with tasks as required and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Good telephone manner and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, with empathy for the client group.
- Coping under pressure in a busy environment, with good keyboard skills and computer literacy.
- Understanding of confidentiality and ability to work on own initiative.
- Previous reception or customer service work is desirable, with knowledge of MS Office suite.
