Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and supporting the practice team in delivering efficient and effective care. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the practice appointments system, ensuring seamless scheduling and coordination of patient appointments.
- Process personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits, and telephone consultations, directing callers to the appropriate healthcare professional as needed.
- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
- Provide clerical assistance to practice staff, including data entry, filing, and word processing.
- Initiate contact with patients, team members, and healthcare agencies, responding to requests and providing information as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Person Specification
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A qualification in administration or previous experience in a GP reception role is desirable but not essential.
