About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Northeast Regional Facilitator. This is a support role that will work closely with our Northeast Regional Lead to facilitate the growth and development of our regional team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Engagement: Identify and engage with individuals with a learning disability and autistic people in the Northeast region to participate in regional and national meetings, workshops, and consultations.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with decision makers, organizations, groups, and agencies in the region to promote the interests of The Scottish Assembly.
  • Communication: Utilize various communication channels, including email, phone, and in-person meetings, to keep regional members informed about important issues and events.
  • Event Planning: Plan, organize, and facilitate regional Assembly meetings and workshops, ensuring that all necessary materials are prepared and distributed in an accessible format.
  • Boundary Management: Establish and maintain healthy boundaries with individuals, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to contribute and be heard in a respectful and inclusive environment.
  • Representation: Represent The Scottish Assembly at various meetings and events, promoting the organization's mission and values.
Requirements
  • Availability: The successful candidate will be required to work 16 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate the needs of the Northeast Regional Lead and the wider Assembly Team.
  • Location: The post will be based in the Northeast region, with opportunities to work from home, the Dundee office, or other locations as needed.
  • Skills: The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
