Position Overview

DEED Leisure and Culture is a charitable organization dedicated to enhancing community engagement through sports, leisure, and cultural initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Athletics Program designed for school-aged children at the Regional Performance Centre.

We are in search of motivated, adaptable, and energetic casual coaches to facilitate engaging training sessions for young participants. You will be contacted as opportunities become available.

DEED Leisure and Culture does not guarantee work availability, nor are you obligated to accept any offered work.

The hourly compensation for this role is £11.96.


Qualifications
- Must possess an Athletics Level 2 qualification (UKA Athletics Coach certification)

Key Responsibilities

As a Sports Coach, your role will involve instructing various groups of participants with differing skill levels.

You will oversee the implementation of a structured program, maintain participant records, inspect coaching equipment, and ensure a safe training environment at all times.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a background in Athletics coaching, experience working with children from diverse backgrounds, and the ability to plan organized activities. Strong organizational skills, teamwork capabilities, and self-motivation are essential.

Additionally, effective communication with children and young people, interpersonal skills, flexibility, adaptability, and leadership qualities are crucial.

You should demonstrate the ability to inspire, work independently, and be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, while committing to personal development.

This role involves Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults as per the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act.

Preferred candidates will need to enroll in the PVG Scheme or undergo a background check prior to receiving a formal employment offer from DEED Leisure and Culture.
