Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team at Halfords, the UK's largest Automotive service, maintenance and repair business. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in driving profitability and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Centre Manager to provide productive management and leadership, driving profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Divide your time between the workshop, working alongside technicians, and assisting the Centre Manager with daily sales and customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer experience and drive business performance.
  • Collaborate with the Centre Manager to achieve sales and customer service targets.
  • Provide coaching and training to colleagues to ensure high customer satisfaction and experience.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a mechanic or in a related field.
  • Strong technical and mechanical ability or experience.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • A current valid driving license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
