About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Mental Health Recovery Specialist to join our team at Rethink Mental Illness. As a leading charity provider of mental health services in England, we support thousands of people through our groups, services, policy, campaigns, and advice and information.

The successful candidate will provide person-centred support to individuals in need of mental health support or in emotional distress. Our dedicated team is friendly, warm, enthusiastic, reliable, and responsive to individual needs, providing a safe and non-stigmatising environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide out-of-hours mental health support to individuals in crisis or in need of support outside of usual mental health service hours.
  • De-escalate and prevent crisis through emotional support and coping strategy identification.
  • Signpost and refer clients to other services to access additional support.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a holistic and person-centred approach to mental health support.
