About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team at Change Grow Live. As a key member of our substance misuse program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive support to service users from initial engagement to ongoing recovery, including screening, assessment, and recovery planning.
  • Develop and deliver structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery, promoting recovery, resilience, and peer support.
  • Collaborate with co-facilitators to review progress, identify concerns, and tailor workshops to meet the needs of service users.
  • Engage with service users to support social reintegration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives.
  • Contribute to the design and preparation of subject matter and materials for groups/pods, ensuring a high-quality and engaging experience for service users.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience working within a similar field. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with good IT skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behavior.

  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
  • Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice.
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritizes the needs of service users.
  • Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards.
