Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team at Humankind. As a key member of our Exeter STaR project, you will play a vital role in delivering intensive and holistic support to individuals experiencing addiction and homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide substance misuse-specific knowledge and interventions to clients with complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement personalized recovery plans.
  • Establish strong therapeutic relationships with clients, focusing on their strengths and inherent abilities.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and rights, ensuring equitable access to essential services.
  • Participate in weekly multi-disciplinary clinical meetings and receive regular psychologist-led supervision and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of harm reduction and recovery principles and practice.
  • Ability to think creatively about treatment options and transitions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
