About the Role

At Humankind, we're committed to providing free, confidential support for individuals struggling with addiction, housing, or mental health issues. As a Recovery Specialist, you'll be part of our Exeter STaR project, delivering intensive and holistic support to those experiencing addiction and homelessness.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Work closely with the Exeter STaR team to provide substance misuse-specific knowledge and interventions.
  • Develop strong therapeutic relationships with clients, addressing their complex needs and promoting recovery.
  • Collaborate with housing and homelessness experts to help clients find and maintain stable housing.
  • Apply co-production principles to treatment and recovery, ensuring clients are empowered to make informed decisions.
  • Manage dynamic risk and personal safety in various environments.
