At Humankind, we're committed to providing free, confidential support for individuals struggling with addiction, housing, or mental health issues. We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our Exeter STaR team, working with individuals experiencing addiction and homelessness.

About the Role
As a member of our STaR team, you'll work closely with clients, establishing strong therapeutic relationships and providing intensive support to address complex problems. You'll collaborate with our GP and Clinical Psychologist to develop holistic recovery solutions, focusing on physical and mental health challenges. You'll also have access to personal budgets to help clients rediscover fun and find stable housing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide substance misuse-specific knowledge and interventions, working in a flexible manner to bring the right treatment to the right people at the right time.
  • Work in a multi-skilled team based in Exeter's CoLab, ensuring clients can access support for multiple needs.
  • Apply co-production principles to treatment and recovery, managing dynamic risk and personal safety in various environments.
  • Think creatively about treatment options, changes, and transitions within a multi-disciplinary approach.
  • Access supervision, group supervision, and learning opportunities to support professional growth and development.
  • Engage in task and finish groups to support the project's evaluation and sustainability plan.
  • Broker community assets and resources to strengthen recovery, increase health and well-being, and expand opportunities for service users.
