Hutcheon Mearns is collaborating with a dynamic, Private Equity-backed, global enterprise to find a Senior Financial Operations Manager. This role reports directly to the Group Financial Controller and is perfect for candidates with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience looking to elevate their career and make a significant impact.

This position presents a remarkable opportunity to engage in the establishment of essential financial processes and controls, offering substantial exposure to senior leadership and invaluable experience within an international business context.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Consolidation Support:

  • Assist in the monthly aggregation of financial outcomes from all global sectors.
  • Contribute to the preparation of consolidated financial reports for the executive leadership team.

Financial Controls Implementation:

  • Actively engage in the design and execution of thorough financial controls.
  • Support the development and documentation of internal control policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the rollout of new global accounting policies and ensure their consistent application.

Reconciliation Duties:

  • Assist the Financial Controller in conducting balance sheet reconciliations, including foreign exchange (FX) and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Management of Factoring Program:

  • Oversee the invoice factoring program.
  • Reconcile factoring balances with financial reporting and liquidity forecasts in collaboration with the Global Treasurer and their team.

Regional Financial Oversight:

  • Assist in reviewing regional financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with regional finance teams to gather necessary information and provide support.

Audit and Compliance Coordination:

  • Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits.
  • Help ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.

Project Involvement:

  • Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing financial processes and systems.
  • Provide support for projects designed to improve financial reporting and controls.

Qualifications and Experience

  • CA/ACA or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in an accounting or finance capacity.
  • Familiarity with GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in financial reconciliations and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • High integrity and meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an international business environment.
  • Exposure to financial consolidation and reporting.
  • Prior involvement in the implementation of financial systems or controls.
  • Experience with intercompany transactions and FX reconciliations.
