Key Responsibilities

As the Lead Financial Operations Specialist, you will undertake a diverse array of tasks encompassing management accounting, project finance, financial analysis, compliance, systems management, and payroll processing. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation, reporting, and analysis of monthly financial statements and other relevant financial data at the project, division, and statutory entity levels.
  • Evaluation of monthly performance indicators, ensuring that cost allocations and financial assessments are accurate.
  • Monthly and quarterly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, supported by detailed schedules.
  • Assisting the Management Accountant by maintaining the accounting system and ensuring timely financial reporting to senior management and operational teams.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in finance, particularly within a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) context. This role is suitable for individuals who are either qualified through experience or are pursuing support for their professional accounting qualifications.

Essential Qualifications:

  • HND or equivalent qualification with relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a focus on task prioritization.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications (Excel).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in payroll processing and/or collaboration with an outsourced payroll provider.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage 200, Oracle NetSuite, or C-SAM.
