Key Responsibilities

As the Lead Financial Operations Specialist, you will undertake a diverse array of tasks related to management accounting, project finance, financial assessment, compliance, systems management, and payroll processing. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Preparation, analysis, and reporting of monthly financial statements and other fiscal data at the project, division, and statutory entity levels.
  • Evaluation of monthly performance indicators, ensuring that cost allocations and financial assessments are accurate.
  • Monthly and quarterly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, supported by detailed schedules.
  • Assisting the Management Accountant by maintaining the accounting system and ensuring timely financial reporting to senior management and operational teams.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in finance, particularly within a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) setting. This role is suitable for individuals who are either qualified through experience or are pursuing professional accounting qualifications.

Essential Skills:

  • Relevant qualifications such as HND or equivalent, coupled with substantial experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a focus on task prioritization.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications (Excel).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in payroll processing and/or collaboration with outsourced payroll providers.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage 200, Oracle NetSuite, or C-SAM.
