Job Description

**Senior Accountant Role at Wood PLC**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Wood PLC. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of accounting entries, financial reporting, and compliance with financial management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Manage Accounting Entries**: Ensure all accounting entries are prepared accurately and in line with corporate deadlines.
  • **Invoice Management**: Prepare invoices in a timely manner and in accordance with commercial terms of contracts.
  • **Team Management**: Effectively manage a small team of accountants, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • **Financial Analysis**: Calculate billing and cost rates, analyze margins to manage profitability, and prepare annual plans and quarterly reforecasts.
  • **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with financial management frameworks within your sphere of control.
  • **Cash Collection**: Focus on cash collection, optimization of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and minimization of unbilled items.
  • **Ad Hoc Analysis**: Execute various ad hoc financial analysis and tasks as required.
  • **Payroll Coordination**: Coordinate expat and national payroll.
  • **Statutory Accounts**: Reconcile and comply with statutory accounts.
Requirements:
  • **Qualifications**: Further education through college or university with a recognized accounting qualification.
  • **Experience**: 5+ years of accounting experience, proficient in Excel, and good commercial experience.
  • **Skills**: People supervision experience and skills, good at using ERP and other IT systems (Oracle, Hyperion).
