Position Overview

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a full-time Band 3 Therapy Technical Instructor to deliver Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services to patients within our Community Therapy Service.

This service integrates health and social care, enabling you to utilize your therapeutic expertise to:

  • Assist individuals in remaining at home during health or social care challenges, avoiding unnecessary hospital or care home admissions.
  • Facilitate swift discharges from hospitals and provide rehabilitation and support to restore health, wellbeing, and independence.
  • Deliver high-quality therapy services focused on reablement, rehabilitation, and recovery within patients' homes.

This role demands a high level of personal accountability. We seek a motivated, resilient, and proactive individual who can prioritize and manage their workload effectively, demonstrating initiative and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, along with the capacity to adapt to a dynamic and demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with qualified therapists and Band 4 Technical Instructors to provide a high-quality Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy service, including completing delegated tasks and participating in joint visits.
  • Manage a personal caseload of patients as delegated by therapists and Band 4s, ensuring efficient service delivery within established guidelines.
  • Identify and implement various treatment modalities with appropriate training and supervision, seeking guidance as necessary.
  • Work independently with patients while providing relevant updates to supervising clinicians and Band 4s regarding patient progress and circumstances.
  • Engage in regular supervision and actively participate in the Technical Instructor training program.
