Role Overview

We are thrilled to present a new opportunity for an Aquatic Instructor at Places Leisure. In this role, you will engage in a vibrant and energetic atmosphere alongside like-minded individuals. Your role will involve inspiring others to collaborate and perform at their best. With your enthusiasm for teaching and swimming, coupled with your exceptional programming and instructional abilities, you will engage our customers and impress them with your vast knowledge and expertise.

Our swimmer development stages align with the National Plan for Teaching Swimming, thus requiring our Aquatic Instructors to possess at least a UKCC Level 2 qualification. While holding a Lifesaving Qualification (NPLQ or NRASTC) is advantageous, we are eager to support motivated individuals in achieving these qualifications through our continuous learning and development programs.

As an Aquatic Instructor, numerous career pathways await you within Places Leisure, including opportunities to advance to roles such as Swimming Coordinator or Contract Swimming Development Manager.

We are committed to providing ongoing training and development opportunities, including assistance with your NPLQ or NRASTC qualifications, enhancing your customer service skills, and much more.

Candidate Profile

• Dedicated to helping individuals of all ages learn to swim or enhance their swimming skills.
• Experience working with customers in both group settings and one-on-one to motivate and instruct during lessons.
• A friendly, approachable, and patient demeanor, with the ability to build trust and encourage students.
• Passionate about supporting students in reaching their potential, utilizing your knowledge of industry best practices and effective teaching methods.
• Proactive in seeking development opportunities and innovative ideas to enhance our service delivery.
