Position Overview

Senior Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a talented Senior Hardware Engineer to play a pivotal role in the advancement of innovative life science and medical technologies. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on projects that aim to enhance global health outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop digital and analogue electronic systems, focusing on FPGA and VHDL from initial concept to final production.
  • Architect and conceptualize system designs.
  • Create schematics and perform board layout utilizing Altium Designer CAD software.
  • Build prototypes, conduct testing, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Gather and document specifications and requirements.
  • Support compliance with EMC and electrical safety standards.
  • Generate cost models, conduct RoHS analysis, and compile necessary documentation.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior engineering staff as needed.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in both digital and analogue circuit design.
  • Strong embedded programming skills in C, FPGA VHDL, with additional knowledge in C++, .NET, C#, Java, or Python being advantageous.
  • Experience with CAD tools, particularly Altium, for schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Familiarity with EMC compliance design methodologies and relevant safety standards.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise reports with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to undertake various tasks as required by project needs.
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
  • Ideally, 8+ years of design experience, although exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered.
