Position Overview

Senior Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to contribute to the advancement of innovative life science and medical technologies. This role presents a unique opportunity to engage in impactful projects that enhance global health.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop digital and analogue electronics and firmware for products, emphasizing FPGA and VHDL technologies.
  • Architect and conceptualize system designs.
  • Create schematics and perform board layout using Altium Designer CAD software.
  • Build prototypes, conduct testing, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Capture specifications and requirements effectively.
  • Support compliance with EMC and electrical safety standards.
  • Generate cost models, conduct RoHS analysis, and compile necessary documentation.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior engineering staff as needed.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in both digital and analogue design.
  • Proficiency in embedded programming with C, FPGA VHDL, and beneficial knowledge of C++, .NET, C#, Java, or Python.
  • Experience with CAD tools, particularly Altium, for schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Familiarity with EMC compliance design techniques and understanding of relevant safety and EMC standards.
  • Strong report writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to undertake tasks as required for project success.
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
  • Ideally, 8+ years of design experience, although exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered.
