Job Summary

As a Specialist Doctor, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health care to patients within our diverse community. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals experiencing a range of mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medical assessment and treatment for patients with complex mental health presentations, including drug and alcohol dependence, homelessness, domestic violence, and severe mental illnesses.
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to determine diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), brief intervention, and motivational interviewing to support patients in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to all relevant clinical guidelines and protocols.
Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience working in mental health services, demonstrating a strong understanding of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adults, and individuals with additional needs and associated mental health challenges.
