Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at a specialized SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Bournemouth. This unique setting provides a supportive environment for students with complex challenges related to Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, ensuring their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) are effectively implemented.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive curriculum that addresses the specific challenges associated with Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour across various subjects, including outdoor education.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and mental well-being, focusing on addressing anxiety and behaviour challenges.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for an individual with:

  • A deep understanding of the diverse needs associated with Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour.
  • The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique requirements of individual students, particularly those facing mental health challenges.
  • A patient and understanding approach when working with challenging behaviour.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
