About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Together for Mental Wellbeing. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred care and support to individuals experiencing complex mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to meet the unique needs of each service user
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals, promoting independence and self-advocacy
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment, promoting a culture of respect and empathy
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of new initiatives and projects

Requirements

  • Experience of working with individuals with mental health issues, preferably in a care or support setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service
  • Enhanced DBS check required
