Job Summary

EF Education First is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as a Director of Student Services. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service to all students and staff from the student services, administration, activities, and welfare departments of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a large team of managers and staff to ensure the successful running of non-academic departments
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student satisfaction and experience
  • Collaborate with the management team to maintain quality and meet industry accreditation standards
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding regulations and policies
  • Recruit, develop, and motivate teams to achieve high performance
  • Provide operational support to the school director and management team
  • Develop and implement effective HR practices and policies
  • Manage budgets and resources to achieve departmental goals
  • Represent the school at external events and meetings

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience as a manager running a team of no less than 10 staff
  • Ability to guide, develop, inspire, and motivate teams
  • Proven track record in effective recruitment and HR
  • Relentless focus on customer service and quality
  • Operational experience in the education sector (desired but not essential)
  • Global or international work experience (desired)
  • A model of quality and professionalism
  • Commitment to the highest standards of welfare provision
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage difficult situations and remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication, people, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong, confident decision maker, highly motivated with empathy for others
  • Hospitality, sales, and marketing experience (welcome)
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment
  • University graduate required; C2 level proficiency in spoken and written English, other languages an advantage
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clean DBS check and 2 references required
